The course is recognised by outdoor associations across the UK. Duration: 2 days Instructor/Candidate Ratio: 1:12 Venue: L'Aubergade Hotel - Mountain Mavericks, 567 Avenue de Joux Plane, 74110 Morzine, France Length: 2 Days Time: 09:00 – 18:00 each day. Qualification: Outdoor First Aid at Work, valid for 3 years. This course will be delivered by James Lockerbie from First Aid Events Cost: £99 Content: The role of the first aider, contents of first aid kits (avoiding cross infection), recording of incidents and accidents, assessing the situation in an emergency, administering first aid to a casualty who; is unconscious (including seizures), requires cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), is choking, is wounded or bleeding, is in shock, has minor conditions – to include: minor cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters. Administer first aid to a casualty with; injuries to bones, muscles, joints including suspected spinal injury, sudden poisoning, burns and scalds, eye injuries, anaphylactic shock and use of auto-injectors (Epipen)*, Recognise the presence of major illness and provide appropriate first aid including heart attack, stroke, epilepsy, asthma & diabetes. You will be instructed to bring outdoor clothing as some of the scenarios will take place outdoors and out onto the snow in the snow dome.

Cancellation Policy

1. CANCELLATION POLICY a) If you cancel more than 6 weeks prior to the course start date, you will forfeit any deposit paid. b) If you cancel less than 6 weeks prior to the course start date, you will be forfeit the deposit and be liable for the full "balance of payment" of all monies owed to First Aid Events for your booking. d) Cancellation must be notified IN WRITING ONLY to the First Aid Events Office by fax, email or letter. Verbal instructions to cancel are not acceptable and will not be acted upon by the First Aid Events Office. 5. a) All correspondence will be sent to the e-mail address supplied on your Booking Form. b) It is your responsibility to keep the First Aid Events office informed of any change of e-mail address or postal address after booking on to a course. 2. First Aid Events reserves the right to cancel courses at any time prior to the course date. In this eventuality First Aid Events will refund any monies paid to First Aid Events, but shall not be liable for an additional costs incurred.
